The main theme of this year conference is ?Innovate, Collaborate, and Differentiate: Honouring the Past, Treasuring the Present, and Shaping the Future?. This theme reflects the university belief that, innovation is the path towards growth, progress and a better tomorrow for the Arab World. Innovation can drive sustainable economic and social development for the region. Countries in the Arab World will need to embark on a journey of innovations, prepare the ground for the rise of the creative revolution, creative class and creative society, so their economies are transformed into knowledge economies.

The university is of the view that innovation and creativity do not come from physical or natural resources, but from mental labor and the transformation into knowledge economies requires innovation, creativity, collaboration and differentiation in business, health, and educational sectors. The doers in the above sectors involve leaders, academicians and professionals, who are trying to accomplish what others said was impossible. They are capable of achieving great things if simply given a chance. The number of new ideas, solutions, and ventures flourished in several Arab countries during the last two decades are only examples.

Innovation Arabia helps to capitalize on the successes and the potential of this community; it will help to unleash the economic opportunities waiting within the region. Innovation Arabia will features four important tracks, namely; Quality and Business Management, e-learning Excellence, Health and Environment, and Islamic Banking and Finance.

Convention Survey - To be completed at the end of Convention.

As 1st Vice President I am pleased to present this year?s curriculum. We have worked diligently to bring in the best training and inspire you to return home with fresh ideas. My goal as your 1st Vice President was to bring in presenters from different aspects of business and professions. I am pleased to have accomplished this. We have reputable professionals in the fields of UIL, Law, Finance, Musical Theatre, Technology, as well as professionals in our field. I am so excited to present dance professionals from all over the United States, including Lauren Anderson, the Brazilian Arts Cultural Center, Alexandra Clough, Haley Erbert, Alaina Flores, Kathy Dunn Hamrick, Susan Maddox, Erin McFarland, Heather O?Hara, Stacy Paydo, Kherington Payne, the Pilobolus Institute, Jennifer Sommers, Victoria Simo, and Lauren Turnbull.

We as an executive board also had the goal of refining the schedule to work the best for our membership. We made 2 changes from previous years. One, we moved the recognition dinner back and concluded all classes prior to the dinner to give you the opportunity to meet new members, catch-up with friends and enjoy the recognition dinner. Two, we moved the exhibit hall time on Friday morning back. This will allow you to spend time with your Administrators and All-State students as you visit the exhibit hall and enjoy lunch. We hope these changes will make our convention even better this year.

I am also proud of the opportunity to offer for the first time, the TDEA Convention App. You must have the app to be able to read this so , I?m glad you were able to download the app and enjoy all of it features.

  • ABIS Colloquium 2013

The Colloquium enables debate on the interaction between business and finance within global and regional trends and developments in society and the Earth as the supporting system for the economy. This serves three goals:

    - Diving into the principles and practices of sustainable business itself, and the required support by finance. Where sustainable thinking and strategy emerges at high speed in business, it is vital for the financial industry to use its financial power and knowledge to track the best ways to enable such development. Is the financial industry aligned with sustainable business, is it connected to the emerging circular economy; is it tready to support global Sustainable Development Goals. Is it able to act within the borders of ever stronger regulations in that sector?

    - Exploring conditions for the financial industry to adequately support required innovation in business. What is needed to bring back trust, to earn the license to operate, to be the partner of choice for business to build a better future for all?

    - Defining content and methods for the business-schools to prepare leaders and managers more adequately for sustainable business, finance and accountancy. Research, but also "letters to the editor" and other interventions have made clear, that business-schools were a part of the (financial) problem like the current crisis. The question is: how to become a part of the solution? What has to be changed in order to play a vital role in executive education, in corporate culture, in new beliefs and practices?

  • MSA West Conference: The Blueprint

Oftentimes we find ourselves inspired, with no form by which to implement the good. We find ourselves going through the motions with a sense of emptiness and a lack of fulfillment.

Without a plan, a building will crumble. A plan not built upon is merely a vision lost.

The 15th annual MSA West Conference aims to provide attendees with a tangible plan--action items one can take and implement to improve their personal lives, their MSAs, and their communities at large. It seeks to help strike the balance between spirituality and activism, and understand how the two are tied together. Spirituality is the foundation, providing roots for activism; activism is actualized when produced by a sound spiritual state.

  • International Magic Convention

    MERMAID WIFI Code: Magic123

London's only magic convention running since 1972.

The Mermaid Theatre Complex has recently undergone something of a renovation and extension which means that the Dealers will now all be situated in the extended Newgate Suite. Not only will this allow easier access from the theatre between events, but also the new space will allow the Convention to feature even more dealers than in the past, alongside a new extra room where Michael Vincent will be performing short Parlour type performances before the Gala Show on Saturday and Sunday night. Alongside Michael's performance there will be, as always, strolling close up performers and with the foyer space of the theatre also being doubled in size during the building work, even more room to enjoy the pre-show entertainment. Convention co-organiser Noel Britten says "We've always considered we have the best facilities of any of the all-round UK Conventions in terms of the theatre for lectures, close up and stage but the dealers have always been tucked away slightly and a bit of a walk towards the back of the building, now that has all changed, and for us as a venue choice it has added the cherry to the top of the cake"

  • The 37th International Congress on Assessment Centre Methods Together With the 33rd Annual Assessment Centre Study Group (ACSG) Conference

The theme for next year's combined congress is Using Assessment Centre Methodology to Sustain Evidence-Based Talent Management Practices. The reason why this theme was selected is because "evidence-based practice is a radical change from management and HR -as usual-. It entails redoubling our efforts to do what we know works and to develop critical judgement in making decisions that impact the well-being of our organisations and employees. Evidence-based HR means making decisions, promoting practices and advising the organisation's leadership through the conscientious combination of four sources of information: the best available scientific evidence; reliable and valid organisational facts, metrics and assessments; practitioner reflection and judgement; and the concerns of affected stakeholders (Denise M. Rousseau and Eric G. R. Barends, 2011)." In the book "Assessment Centres and Global Talent Management" the editors George Thornton and Nigel Povah conclude that considerable evidence has been accumulated over 50 or more years that the assessment centre method is a valuable intervention to select, promote and develop human resource talent in diverse organisations in diverse countries. We therefore think that Assessment Centre methods can be an important element in evidence-based talent management.

  • Cincinnati CIO Executive Summit

    Dear Friends and Colleagues,

It is time again for us to gather at our annual Cincinnati CIO Executive Summit. This will be our seventh year of coming together to network, collaborate and join forces to better technology leadership in our region.

One of the unique aspects of our conference is that it is truly built "by CIOs, for CIOs", so the focus is on issues that are most timely and relevant to our community. Our forum brings together the largest organizations in the Cincinnati area to drive change in Ohio and across the nation. Our advisory board - the Governing Body - is working together to create a day that is filled with high-level content, globally recognized thought leaders, and direct dialog with our peers.

Thank you for your interest in joining us for this important initiative. We look forward to meeting you.

  • 4th Annual CPSDA

CPSDA was founded in 2009 to make a declarative statement to all who would listen:
"Athletic programs are not providing a secure circle of care around athletes
without the services of at least one full-time Sports RD."
To deliver that message with resounding influence, CPSDA first required an active and passionate
membership. We?d like to express our appreciation to each one of our members who have been
providing exactly that. With your participation, we're redefining the world of "Performance Nutrition."
But a volunteer-driven national not-for-profit organization also requires substantial funding to build
support for our goals; to create internships and develop careers; and to provide a first-class Annual
Conference. CPSDA is extremely fortunate to have received the willing and generous support of
many good companies - outstanding high-quality brands - those you see featured on this page.
We ask members to support these brands that have been so instrumental in supporting us. Open
your doors to their sales people and take their phone calls whenever it's possible to do so. All of
these companies have gone above and beyond the call for CPSDA, each in their own different way.
Please reward their loyalty with yours. Thanks everyone! - CPSDA Board of Directors

  • Radical Planet Toronto

An unconference is an event that has no fixed structure and only two rules, no power point and no presentations. The day is split in to sessions during which a series of â??tracksâ? run on a theme with a track leader hosting the discussion, debate and learning. The discussion takes a life of its own with attendees bringing their own views, questions and opinions as well as debate. This takes many directions and concludes with real learning and opinion forming. The track leaders have been carefully chosen from their areas of experience and knowledge and the value they can bring to the â??trackâ? and have been drawn from across the globe giving a real global view. We will be adding to the list of track leaders right up to the day of the event (and even during it.)
You are actively encouraged to disagree, argue, debate and question, all we ask is that you respect one another. In addition to the published tracks we will be adding to the list by request right up to the day. If you want to add a track just contact us and we will set it up. We will also be encouraging impromptu tracks throughout the day whenever a new subject comes up. An unconference is about what you want to discuss and is not restricted by any fixed agenda.
